The Jakarta Bina Marga Dept. is about to add 800 taskforce personnel next year in a bid to speed up the handling of public complaints about potholes, damaged sidewalks and so on.

Jakarta Bina Marga Dept. Acting Head, Harry Hamdani stated that the current total number of taskforce personnel in the office and the sub-dept., as well as five cities and Seribu Islands is 1,100 people.

Those 800 personnel will be spread to 42 sub-districts, as each sub-district only has one taskforce team with a total of 10-12 personnel.
"By so each sub-district will have 30 personnel that will be divided into three teams," he stated.
Besides increasing the number of personnel, his party has also proposed the additional work support equipment such as breakers, baby rollers, and sidewalk cleaning tools.
"Hopefully, it is able to quickly handle complaints about damaged roads and so on. This is for the sake of security, comfort of the road user," he stated.
